1. Introduction

Welcome to the Bhagavad Gita app (“App”), developed and operated by Vistara Technolabs (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App, including any content, features, and services offered through it.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

3. Account Registration

The App allows you to sign in using third-party providers such as Google, Facebook, or Apple. By signing in, you authorize us to receive certain basic profile information (such as your name and email address) from the provider you choose, in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Please notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features of the App may be offered on a paid subscription basis. All payments are processed through the Apple App Store (and Google Play, where applicable), and are subject to their respective terms of sale.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s App Store account settings — we do not have the ability to cancel or refund a subscription directly.

Prices are subject to change; we will provide notice of any changes as required by applicable law and the relevant app store’s policies.

5. Your Content, Progress Data & Artificial Intelligence

As part of using the App, we may collect information about your reading progress, streaks, favorites, preferences, and similar usage data (“Progress Data”) in order to provide and personalize the App’s features for you.

We do not use your Progress Data, or any other personal data collected through the App, to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning models — ours or any third party’s.

If the App offers any AI-powered features (for example, generating a summary or explanation of a verse), your inputs are processed only to generate a response for you in that moment. Such inputs are not stored for the purpose of model training and are not shared with third parties for that purpose.

This commitment does not apply to information you knowingly and voluntarily share in public or semi-public contexts outside the App (for example, on social media), which is entirely outside of our control.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its systems, or related accounts; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App except as permitted by law; or (d) interfere with or disrupt the App’s functioning or servers.

7. Intellectual Property

The Bhagavad Gita’s verses are a matter of ancient public heritage. However, all translations, commentaries, audio narrations, user interface, design, software, and other original content made available through the App are owned by, or licensed to, the Company and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services (including but not limited to Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, Sign in with Apple, advertising networks, and payment processors) that are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vistara Technolabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may also stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
